Reading Hall of Fame at LWS
On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, the Louise White Elementary School LRC hosted the Inaugural Louise White School Reading Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
The Reading Hall of Fame was started this year by Christy Heins, LRC Director. In the fall of 2023, she challenged students and staff to read all 20 books on this year’s IL state book award list (the Bluestem Book Award). Eight students and two teachers completed the challenge! They will be the inaugural members of the LWS Reading Hall of Fame. New students and staff members will be added each year.
